June 18th, 2001

Al went the week of June 18th. Dr. Espy was very pleased how everything is still "holding" and that she could finally get to his fingers and wrists on the right side. After Al was there for just a half a day he already felt stronger all over his body. Dr. Espy discovered she could finally work on his hands. By the end of his appointment he had more strength and control in his two middle fingers of his right hand and more his wrist. That was all very exciting for everyone. Since then we have had a very busy summer with lots of company and great weather. We proceeded to get a lot of projects done around the homestead from the Glo and Al "Honey Do List" including a screen house addition which is greatly needed being here in the woods with the famous "Maine black flies" and mosquitoes. Al would work right along with everyone and continued to over due because he was feeling so good.
